Monika L. Gloviczki Artist Painter

Painting is the essence of my life—an irresistible, almost inexplicable urge to give form to what I feel or imagine. For me, each canvas becomes a journey inward, a path to the deeper layers of the self, beyond the banalities of everyday life. It is silent music rendered in color.
As Georgia O’Keeffe once said, “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way—things I had no words for.” I deeply relate to that sentiment.
My artistic path has taken me from Poland to France, and ultimately to the United States, where I’ve been able to fully realize my dream of becoming a fulfilled and dedicated artist. Music is an integral part of my creative process. I always paint with music playing—letting sound and image converse, guiding the flow of color and emotion on the canvas. In these moments, I feel more like a reporter than a creator, capturing the dialogue between music and paint while fully immersed in the rhythm of creation.
The vision for each painting evolves continuously. Sometimes I pause when I’m satisfied, or simply too exhausted to continue. Often, clarity arrives the next day. I frequently study works in progress through photographs—rotating, zooming, experimenting with angles, or converting images to black and white to explore different perspectives. Many of my paintings take months to complete, with several works unfolding simultaneously in my studio.
